पहचान :-
इस प्रकार के हिंदी वाक्यों के अंत में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैं, past continuous tense कहते हैं, इन वाक्यों में कार्य का भूतकाल में जारी होना पाया जाता है।Past continuous tense affirmative sentences rules in hindi ( सकारात्मक वाक्य ) :-
He, she, it तथा कर्ता एकवचन के साथ सहायक क्रिया was एवं we, you, they तथा कर्ता बहुवचन के साथ सहायक क्रिया were एवं I के साथ was लगाकर verb की first form में ing जोड़ते हैं तथा अंत मे कर्म की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैं।

1. राम घर जा रहा था।

3. मैं पुस्तक पढ़ रहा था।

Past continuous tense negative sentences in hindi (नकारात्मक वाक्य) :-
पहचान :इन वाक्यों में नहीं शब्द बीच में तथा अंत में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैं।rules : इन वाक्यों में सबसे पहले कर्ता, फिर इसके बाद सहायक क्रिया was, were के बाद Not , इसके बाद मुख्य क्रिया में ing, के बाद कर्म, इसके बाद अन्य शब्द की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैं-

1. वे खाना नहीं खा रहे थे।

8. वे आज खाना नहीं खा रहे थे।

Past continuous tense interrogative sentences in hindi (प्रश्नवाचक वाक्य) :-
interrogative sentences first type :
पहचान : इन वाक्यों मे सबसे पहले क्या शब्द आता है तथा अंत में रहा था, रही थी, रहे थे आदि शब्द आते हैंं।rules : यदि क्या शब्द पहले आता है, तो उसकी अंग्रेजी नहीं लगाते हैं, सबसे पहले सहायक क्रिया was, were, के बाद मुख्य क्रिया में ing, फिर इसके बाद के बाद कर्म, इसके बाद अन्य शब्द की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैंं।
