इस प्रकार के हिन्दी वाक्यों के अन्त में ता था, ती थी, ते थे, आ, ई ए, या, यी, ये आदि शब्द आते हैं Past indefinite tense कहलाते हैं। तथा इन वाक्यों में कार्य का भूतकाल में होना पाया जाता है।

इन वाक्यों में सबसे पहले कर्ता (subject) इसके बाद verb की 2nd form के बाद कर्म (object) फिर इसके बाद अन्य (other) शब्द की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैं।

(नकारात्मक वाक्य)
नकारात्मक वाक्यों में सबसे पहले कर्ता, के बाद did not का प्रयोग करते हैं इसके बाद verb की 1st form, फिर कर्म के बाद अन्य शब्द की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैं।

इन वाक्यों में क्या शब्द पहले आता है, तो उसकी अंग्रेजी नहीं लगाते हैं, सबसे पहले did, इसके बाद कर्ता फिर इसके बाद verb की 1st form के बाद कर्म के बाद अन्य शब्द की अंग्रेजी लगाते हैं।
